An end to widespread disruption is in sight for train passengers using the cross city line to and from Lichfield.
No services have run between Lichfield and Birmingham after being shut for almost two days following the discovery of an unexploded World War Two bomb in Aston.
Military experts carried out a controlled explosion earlier today, but displaced trains mean services are likely to be affected for the rest of today (May 16).
But train operator London Midland says it expects a normal service to resume tomorrow.
#CrossCity line between Sutton & Aston remains blocked, however a full service is anticipated from tomorrow morning. https://t.co/cvX1Gpn9UP
