Lichfield District Council’s flag is flying at half-mast as a mark of respect to the victims of the Manchester terror attack.

Twenty-two people died after a suspected suicide bomber struck following an Ariana Grande concert at the MEN Arena.

Councillor Mike Wilcox, leader of Lichfield District Council, said: “Along with government buildings up and down the country, we are flying our flag at half-mast to show our respects for the victims of the Manchester attack.

“Our thoughts are with all the victims, their relatives and friends and to everyone in Manchester and beyond.

“We are appalled by this tragedy and the senseless loss of life.”
