Final preparations are underway for St Giles Hospice’s summer fair in Whittington.

Taking place at the hospice on Saturday (May 27), the event features stalls, entertainment and food and drink.

There will also be the chance to have antiques valued by a team from Hansons Auctioneers.

Admission is £1 for adults with children going free.

Zoe Westwood, fundraising events coordinator for St Giles, said: “We’re very pleased to have Charles Hanson’s valuers this year – and a host of attractions from cakes to a choir and craft stalls, plus pony rides throughout the day.

“It would be lovely if someone with an antique, who pays just £1 to get in, leaves with a treasure worth hundreds of pounds.”

The summer fair takes place from 12pm to 4pm and will also feature Shetland ponies, a mobile bowling alley and tombola.
