The striker has agreed a switch to Coventry United in the same week as defender Chris Slater moved to Walsall Wood.

Top goalscorer Jack Langston has also left the club after agreeing a switch to Stafford Rangers.

The departures leave new Scholars boss Scott Dundas facing an early rebuilding task as he looks to develop the squad after replacing Dave Stringer last month.

Piggon thanked the Chasetown supporters on social media and added that it had been “a pleasure” to play for them.
