Lichfield will get a taste of the US at a themed event this weekend.
The Heart of the Country Shopping Village will welcome the 4th of July celebrations from 10am to 9pm.
It is being organised by Idle Pig BBQ, a pop-up company which offers locally sourced produce cooked over charcoal and wood.
Owner Jamie Walsh, a former army environmental health technician, began the business after returning from Sierra Leone.
He said: “Our little pop-up is based on a converted shed which is now our kitchen HQ, with another shed up-cycled into a bar and outdoor cooking area.It
“The business is now run with the help of my wife, Jules, and my little brother Tony.”
The 4th of July celebration will see a slight tweak to the menu.
“There’ll be some US-themed additions, such as beef ribs, Mac and cheese as well as our staples such as free range pulled Packington pork,” Jamie said. “We hope to generate a real party atmosphere, including free free-range hot dogs for all kids, a candyfloss machine and some fun games.
“We will have a range of alcoholic beverages on offer too.”
