A group in Lichfield have been learning more about the work being carried out to tackle crime.

Police and Crime Commissioner Matthew Ellis gave a talk at a meeting of the Lichfield Afternoon WI.

Among the issues discussed where the increase in cyber crime and other threats facing people as they go online.

Mrs Durrant, President of Lichfield Afternoon WI, added: “We found Mr Ellis’ talk to be very interesting and informative and we now have more of an idea of how the police operate.

“It was very positive and reassuring to hear about the work of the police in keeping the people of Staffordshire safe.”

The group also donated to the Staffordshire Police Cadets.

Commissioner Ellis said: “The ongoing roll-out of cadet units across Staffordshire relies on community and business sponsorship so donations like this are extremely important to us.”
