The music of rock and roll teen idol Ricky Nelson will be brought to life at a concert in Lichfield.

The Ricky Nelson Rock and Roll Show

Hits such as Hello Mary Lou, It’s Late, Poor Little Fool and Travelin’ Man will be on offer at the Lichfield Guildhall on 6th January.

The Ricky Nelson Rock and Roll Show features a live five piece band, Dave B as Ricky Nelson and special guest musician Peter Gill to help bring some post-Christmas cheer.

A Lichfield Arts spokesman said: “When we think of rock and roll we think of Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, or Little Richard, but Ricky Nelson was just as important a figure.

“His exciting stage performance and excellent songs are both paid homage to in this exciting show.

“Once Christmas is done and dusted for another year, dancing to an incredible live band will be an excellent way to shift those excess Christmas pounds.”
