Here at The Lichfield Blog, we wouldn’t normally promote heading out on Friday night to watch two blokes punching lumps out of each other, but when it comes to charity boxing we make an exception.
Max Walter and David Maskell square up
The bout is part of The White Collars fundraising project and will see Lichfield fighters take to the ring in aid of Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice. The event, held on March 20 at Tamworth’s Assembly Rooms, is the second fundraising night of boxing and will once again see fighters who have never entered a ring before take centre stage. Seven fights are scheduled Lichfield lads Matt Duvall, Michael Duvall, Josh Williams and Elmer Mizuks will all feature. The main event will see Lichfield’s Max Walter look for a second win over Tamworth’s David Maskell. Walter won with a first round TKO when the two met at The White Collars’ last charity night. As well as the in-ring action, there will also be a musical performance from Ruth and the Finelines. To find out more about the event and buy tickets, visit The White Collars website.
