A teenage rugby player from Shenstone has been taken to hospital after suffering facial injuries during a match in Wolverhampton.
The Midland Air Ambulance was called at 11.15am today after the 14-year-old was kicked in the head during a game at Wolverhampton Rugby Club.
The teenager was eventually taken to New Cross Hospital by road after suffering from a broken nose, cuts to his cheek and suspected damage to his eye socket.
The incident was one of three rugby-related incidents the Air Ambulance was called to around the Midlands today.
