A former Lichfield College of Fine Art student has been given the opportunity to curate his first exhibition.

Glyn Owen, who is now a second year mature student at Staffordshire University, will curate the Contemporary Allegories exhibition at the Old Mining College Centre in Burntwood during April.

The event will feature the work of 20 emerging artists from the University, dealing with subjects such as regeneration, location and identity.

The exhibition will launch on March 31 and be open to the public from April 1, from 9am to 5pm.

Glyn said:

“I hope everyone will find the Contemporary Allegories exhibition thought-provoking and will enjoy it. It is important for students to get the chance to display their work and it will be an interesting experience to have the public critique it.”
