If you ever needed proof of the range of history to be found under our noses in Lichfield, the collection of coins and medals held by the District Council is it.
The pictures have been made available to view online by Lichfield District Council.
Some of the coins date back to between 69 and 79AD, while the medals include a medallion, dating back to 1886, commemorating the unveiling of the statue of Sister Dora in Walsall.
