Lichfield MP Michael Fabricant has come towards the bottom of a league table of MPs expenses.
The analysis published by political charity They Work for You, shows that out of 645 MPs, Mr Fabricant was the 569th least expensive Member of Parliament for 2007/08. The figures include staff salaries, stationery, second home, travel, and other costs.
The costs associated to the Lichfield MP for the period covered by the analysis were £126,074.
Mr Fabricant said:
“I like to think I offer good value for money.”
The analysis also shows that he was ‘above average’ in contributions to Parliamentary debates and responded quickly to ‘a very high number of constituents’ who wrote into him with their problems.
