The troubled A2Z Travel company which operated the 991 route between Lichfield and Walsall has gone into administration.
The firm had been forced to take its fleet of buses off the road at the start of April after the licence was revoked by the Transport Commissioner and now the Express and Star is reporting the company has called in administrators Mazars of Birmingham
But despite the apparent demise of A2Z Travel, the 991 service will continue after Choice Travel picked up the route. The company have also taken on 35 of the 40 members of staff who lost their jobs following A2Z Travel’s problems.
Choice Travel is the latest operator to take on the troubled route. A2Z had taken over the service when Travel WM – now National Express West Midlands – decided to drop the timetable from its services.
