Lichfield residents suffering from overactive bladders are being urged to seek advice.

The urgent need to use the toilet or not being able to hold on can be a real problem for many people of all ages in South Staffordshire.

South Staffordshire Primary Care Trust’s (PCT) Continence Service  has a clinic in Lichfield and staff who can visit patients at home.

Carolyn Green, Continence Advanced Practitioner, South Staffordshire PCT said:

“People who have an overactive bladder feel too embarrassed to initially seek help as they think that they are the only ones affected.

“It is important to remember that this is an extremely common condition that doctors and nurses see every day. Our team of professionals can offer support and information which will help find the right course of treatment best suited to individual needs to enable patients to manage their condition and improve their quality of life.”
