People are being given the chance to play their part in Samuel Johnson’s birthday celebrations by having their face included in a light show in Lichfield.

Artists Peter Walker and Andy McKeown will be in the Guildroom of the Guildhall from 11am to 5pm on May 2 to collect the faces and favourite things of visitors and locals in Lichfield.

The images will then form part of a light and sound show planned by Lichfield City Council and the Samuel Johnson Birthplace Museum to celebrate Johnson’s Birthday in September.

Participants are asked to go along with a special possession to be photographed as they are to see their image projected onto the Birthplace building in the Market Square during the free display taking place in September.

I’m very tempted to go along and have my photo taken alongside my beloved camera :)
Anyone else?
