Ladies’ Day features some of Tony’s best-known hits, including Is This The Way To Amarillo? and Avenues and Alleyways, and the veteran crooner went behind the scenes to see how the cast were coping with his numbers.

Adrian Jackson, Artistic and Executive Director of the Lichfield Garrick, said:

“What an honour to have a visit from one of the country’s greatest singers. It has given all the cast a boost and is a terrific way for them to get a real connection with the music. Tony charmed everyone at the Garrick and was especially keen to wish all the cast good luck for the opening night.”

Ladies’ Day is a feel-good comedy about four ladies of the factory floor who replace their overalls with posh frocks and voluminous hats, and are then let loose at Royal Ascot’s Ladies’ Day. Love, loss and laughs combine in this hilarious tale of one life changing day at the races.

The cast includes Lorraine Cheshire (Early Doors), Joanna Bacon (Love Actually), Sean McKenzie (Eastenders), Abigail Longstaffe, and Liz Simmons.

The show runs from May 7-23 and tickets cost £14 (£12 students). To book your tickets call 01543 412121 or visit the Lichfield Garrick website.
