Two Burntwood teenagers, aged 19 and 16, have been fined £80 for anti-social behaviour.

The 19-year old was handed his fine for supplying alcohol to under-age drinkers. The teenager had been buying alcoholic drinks from local off licenses and then selling them on to youngsters.

The incident took place in Redwood Park, Chase Terrace which is part of a police crackdown on nuisance behaviour.

In a separate incident which also took place in Redwood Park, a 16-year old was fined for verbally abusing a PCSO who was trying to resolve some nuisance issues.

These two fines follow an earlier incident, also in Redwood Park, where a 17-year old was fined for attempting to take back alcohol that had been confiscated.

Chase Terrace neighbourhood officer, PC Steve Bristow said:

“The park is a well used recreational area for the whole community and police and people living nearby should not have to put up with the area being miss-used by a tiny minority.”
