Lichfield residents have been busy finding out about leisure facilities in the area.

People of all ages had a taster of just some of the fun things Lichfield District Council’s Leisure Team have to offer at the event, which was held at the Market Square yesterday.

Children enjoyed a bounce on Mobile Leisure’s bouncy castle, football fans had a kick-about in the Panna football inflatable ring, and a steady flow of people tried their hand at golf putting and got on a bike to test out Friary Grange Leisure Centre’s Watt bikes.

Passers-by also took the opportunity to talk to the leisure experts who were on hand to tell people about the huge range of activities, classes and memberships the council’s Leisure Team offers.

Councillor Val Richards, Cabinet Member for Leisure Services, said:

“What a wonderful day. The sun shone on our Leisure Day and lots of people had a go at the activities and found out more about how to stay fit and have fun in the district. The team also handed out hundreds of leisure flyers and Summer of Leisure leaflets to help people plan for a perfect summer of fun.”
