More than 70 people dropped in on Lichfield District Council’s Section 106s Uncovered event.

The event – on May 27 – gave residents the opportunity to see displays on potential, current and completed Section 106 funded projects – including plans for Lichfield City centre’s £3.9 million heritage parks restoration.

The event was also an opportunity to see the feedback from local people on the recent Lichfield City consultation.

Councillor Neil Roberts, Cabinet Member for Development Services, said:

“We’re delighted so many people came along to find out more at our Section 106s Uncovered event. We hope it has given people a good understanding of how we secure and distribute developers’ contributions to fund local community projects. I would like to thank all the exhibitors and the two Tamworth companies, Brakes Food and Buckingham Foods, who provided us with the wonderful refreshments.”

A summary of the results to the city centre Section 106 consultation will be available on www.lichfielddc.gov.uk/citycentre106 in the coming weeks.
