Police are hunting thieves who threatened and pushed a 13-year old boy before stealing his BMX bike and mobile telephone at Chasewater.
The robbery happened close to the shore of Chasewater lake near Chasetown on Wednesday (3 June) as the youngster was playing in an area known as the Sand Hill.
Sometime after 8pm, he was approached by two people, a man aged around 20 and a youngster aged about 13, who threatened him pushed him around and demanded he hand over his bike and ’phone.
Although badly shocked, the young victim was not seriously hurt and was able to raise the alarm.
The older of the two attackers is distinctive because his two front teeth appear to be missing. He is about 5ft 6ins tall, average build with dark, short hair. He was wearing a dark coloured baseball cap, jeans, silver trainers and a hooded top. He had with him a black Staffordshire bull terrier type dog on a chain lead.
The younger attacker is aged about 13, 5ft 2 inches tall, average build with black/ brown hair which was short and straight. He was wearing a dark coloured baseball cap and a black hooded top and was riding a red BMX bike.
