Real ale, jazz and blues will be the order of the day at a Lichfield festival later this month.

Lichfield Arts are celebrating the 20th year of their Real Ale, Jazz and Blues Festival with a bumper line-up of acts from June 25 to 28.

Held at Lichfield Rugby Club, this year’s landmark event will feature music from the likes of Chris Farlowe with the
Norman Beaker Band, Errol Linton’s Blues Vibe, the Dave Stapleton Quintet and Partisans.

Festival Director Brian Pretty explained the choices behind this year’s acts. He said:

In programming this year I have tried to bring back some of your favourite musicians but at the same time continue to introduce you to some of the most innovative British bands.

“The venue has good facilities, including showers, campsite, catering, well stocked bars, good access for people with disabilities and it’s all under cover so you do not have to worry about the weather. And we’re not forgetting that festivals are about renewing old friendships and making new friends, all within a wonderful atmosphere of superb music, superb company and a great atmosphere.”

As well as the music, there will be over 3o beers as well as traditional ciders and foreign beers to help the day go with a real swing.
