Champions Fortress began their defence with a 1-1 draw against PSV Hangover.
There were wins elsewhere for newly promoted Attack of the Clowns, who sneaked home 1-0 against Claret n Blues, while FC Walsall managed the same score against FC Laser.
Relegated The Kings of Zimbabwe found life more to their liking in division one and beat Pass The Ball To Ben 2-1, however White Horse raced into early pole and saw off The Big Devils 3-0.
Other teams to begin the season solidly were Warriors and LGCC who beat Steeldale and Average Joes respectively by two goals to nil, while a 1-0 scoreline was enough to see Real Betis Hotpot and Burntwood 6 beat Not So Pro and Panthers Old Past It.
Monday
Beercelona maintained their title challenge with a fine 3-0 victory over bottom side FC Swifts.
Mid-table The Bronx were also in impressive form as they crushed Greebo FC 4-0, while high flying Bottom FC needed the only goal of the game to pip Definatelymaybe.
Leaders Moredrawsthanthelotto are still a point clear in division one after a 1-0 win if their own against Fibatrim, while there were a pair of 2-0 wins for Athletico Chasetown and Manaconk FC against Burntwood FC and City Rovers respectively.
At the other end of the table The Bronx Reserves picked up a point against Real Brownhills in a 1-1 draw.
Now doubt at all about where the division two headlines lie and it’s with Braziliant, who trounced Kingies Kings 8-1.
But even that victory wasn’t enough to see them move up with the leaders, as Inter Ya Momma and PSV Hangover both won. Inter needed the only goal of the game to overcome The Trident Troopers, while PSV were involved in a real ding-dong thriller with Day Release before prevailing 3-2.
Finally in division three mid-table The Green kept themselves in with a shout of promotion after seeing off Sporting Lichfield 4-0, while Grasping At Straws did likewise and saw off Kay FC 3-0.
The pick of the other winners saw Sports Plus dent Team Salad’s promotion hopes with a 2-0 loss.
