Cllr Matthew Ellis
The deputy leader of Lichfield District Council has announced he is stepping down. The decision by Councillor Matthew Ellis – who also sits on Staffordshire County Council – means a shake-up for Lichfield District Council’s cabinet. According to a report in the Express & Star, Cllr Ellis has decided to step down after being appointed as cabinet member for adult health and wellbeing at county level. Cllr Ellis will formally resign his cabinet position on July 14.
