The Lichfield Poets prepare for the Bards 'n' Butties event

Breakfast and poetry are set to come together as part of the build-up to the Lichfield Mysteries.

The Lichfield Poets will will be reading Mysteries-themed poems of their own at St Mary’s Centre on July 4 and 5, before the Mysteries plays start in the market square outside.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy a breakfast bacon butty and tea or coffee for £3.50 while they listen to the poetry.

The Bards ‘n’ Butties event starts at 10.30 am on both days.

  1. I need to add to the above that vegetarians who turn up are not going to be force-fed bacon butties – you can just have the cuppa with something else, if you like!

  2. I would just like to state that that isn’t Quasimodo in the photo, just me doing an impression of him…

  3. In fact you don’t have to have the bacon butty offer at all. Anyone can just have a drink whilst listening to The Lichfield Poets.
