Former Seahorses frontman Chris Helme is set to perform in Burntwood.

He joins the likes of I Am Kloot’s John Bramwell on the list of confirmed forthcoming acts at The Oak in Burntwood.

The pub is fast building itself a reputation as a live music venue capable of pulling in big names, and the announcement of this latest gig has only served to boost that image.

Helme was the singer in former Stone Roses’ star John Squire’s Seahorses.

The group’s debut album Do It Yourself was released in 1997 and went to number one, spawning single hits such as Love Is The Law, Blinded By The Sun and Love Me and Leave Me.

And the former Seahorses frontman will be at The Oak on August 22. For ticket information, call 01543 673377 or visit the website.
