Burntwood Leisure Leagues football round-up

Heavyweights are nicely placed in fourth spot of the Burntwood Sunday Leisure Leagues Premier Division, as they stormed home to a 7-2 demolition of Claret N Blues this week. Wolfsburg Dubs are hoping to join the chasing pack as they claimed a 2-0 victory over FC Laser.

White Horse are topping the table in Division One as they eased through 4-0 against Panthers Old & Passed It, whilst Average Joes are only a point shy of the summit after a hard-fought 3-2 victory over The Big Devils.

Burntwood AFC are champions of the Monday Premier Division on goal difference, despite nearest rivals Beercalona cruising through 5-0 against Bottom FC. The title race was a nail-biting one for both teams but they will be representing Burntwood at the coveted Leisure Leagues National Tournament. FC Swifts and Greebo FC were relegated before the final day and failed to pick up wins against Definitelymaybeprobablynot and Euro FC respectively.

Manaconk FC are champions of Division One after their 2-0 win over ABCDE FC on the final day, whilst Real Brownhills saw off Burntwood FC via the same scoreline to secure promotion, as their opponents will be relegated along with City Rovers.

IYM FC might have lost out 4-2 to Braziliant as the Second Division campaign drew to a close but they still won the title by a point from PSV Hangover, who gained the point they needed for promotion with a 2-2 against Team Tek. FC Sporting were beaten 2-1 by Adidas Allstars but both sides face the drop.

Grasping Straws won the Third Division title with a 3-0 success over The Green FC, and Sports Plus sneaked into the second promotion spot by beating favourites Bobby Dazzlers 2-1, who will have to make do with at least another season in the division.
