Lichfield eateries have still got time to enter he Taste of Staffordshire Good Food Awards after the entry date was extended. Entries for the 10th annual awards that recognise quality and distinctiveness in the food and drink served across Staffordshire will now be accepted until July 17. Judges are looking for outstanding restaurants, pubs, brasseries, tearooms, visitor attractions and banqueting venues to represent the very best cuisine Staffordshire has to offer.  Judges will also take into account those who use local produce and seasonal ingredients in their menus. Jon Collier, Chair of Taste of Staffordshire, said:
“Staffordshire has a wealth of fine produce and talent. The Good Food Awards are an excellent opportunity to celebrate what’s on offer in the county.”
The Taste of Staffordshire scheme was founded to promote the local produce, dishes and culinary talent found throughout the county and to celebrate Staffordshire’s distinctive gastronomic appeal. The initiative also aims to raise standards within the hospitality industry and highlight the individuals who truly represent the overwhelming passion for quality cuisine in Staffordshire.  For more information on the awards and to download an entry form visit: Completed entry forms need to be returned by July 17 to A Taste of Staffordshire, PO Box 2172, Stafford, ST16 3ZW.
