Woman injured in 4×4 overturn incident

A woman has been injured following an incident in Lichfield on Saturday.

The 4×4 vehicle overturned on the A5 to A38 dual carriageway at around 12:20pm near Weeford. An ambulance and rapid response vehicle were despatched to the scene.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said,

“On arrival at the scene, crews found a 4×4 vehicle that had overturned with four people inside.

“A woman suffered leg and chest injuries and was unconscious for a short period.  She was treated at the scene and immobilised using a spinal board and neck collar.  She was transferred by ambulance to Good Hope Hospital for further assessment and treatment.

“A man and two children who were also travelling in the vehicle were unhurt in the crash and were checked over at the scene by ambulance crews.  They did not require hospital treatment.”

No further details are known about the incident and no appeals for information have been made.
