The hunt will be on for bats at a free event in Lichfield.

North Lichfield Initiative and South East Staffordshire Bat Group are inviting residents with an interest in wildlife to a free bat walk in Beacon Park on August 14.

Experts will be leading a guided walk to see how may species of bats people can spot and offering an insight into these fascinating nocturnal creatures.

Tracy Potts, Assistant Community Worker, said:

“Bats often inspire lots of interest mixed with a bit of trepidation. Come along on a guided walk to find out how amazing these night creatures really are, while enjoying the beautiful surroundings of Beacon Park at dusk.”

The event takes place from 8.30pm till late and participants are asked to wrap up warm, wear outdoor footwear and bring along a torch.

Booking is essential and anyone wishing to reserve their free space can do so by calling Moira Taylor on 01543 308167.
