Lichfield Leisure Leagues football round-up

A goalless draw might have been the final result of the Lichfield Sunday six-a-side Leisure Leagues Premier Division season for champions The Galacticos, but they finished four points clear of opponents Gash Wanderers to claim title glory.

Mean Machine lost out 2-0 to Slap A Dingle and will be relegated along with rock-bottom Hexis FC Legends, who were beaten 3-1 by Norfolk .

Hexis FC Marvels won Division One as they held their nerve on the final day to beat Boley Park FC 4-1, and they will be joined in promotion by Catalans, who made sure of the runners-up spot who sneaked through 1-0 against Balboa’s Boys.

Monkeys Punk finished champions of the Monday Premier Division by a healthy five point margin despite a 2-0 defeat to Boley Park Academy , but Colin Lee’s Adopted Sons victory over England Youth by the same scoreline ensured it was they finished in the runners-up berth.

The result meant Colin Lee’s will join the title-winners at the coveted Leisure Leagues National Tournament, but England are relegated along with Six On Legs, who were beaten 3-0 by survivors PES United.

Plough & Harrow FC might have lost out 1-0 to Banana Grove on the final day in Division One, but both sides will be playing top flight football next term.

ACFC Athletic are now only a point shy of the summit in the Tuesday league following a 3-0 success over Friary Boys.

Wilmot Dairies FC claimed a 2-0 victory against KB Rejects, whilst leaders Liquid Football squeaked through 2-1 in their clash with Sporting Lisbon.
