Proms in the Park comes to Burntwood

Burntwood is preparing for a classical music treat when Proms in the Park comes to town.

The event takes place on August 8 as part of the Burntwood Wakes festival.

The concert will feature Adrian Jackson conducting the 50-piece City Concert Orchestra and the 50 voices of the Midland Symphony Choir. Joining them on stage will be soloist Elizabeth MacDonald.

Malcolm Stent and Don MacLean will compere the evening which takes place at Burntwood Rugby Club.

Entry to the Proms in the Park evening is £18 advance or £20 on the day for adults, £10 children and under two free. The concert gets underway at 7pm.
