Lichfield law firm Ansons LLP has announced that it will sponsor this year’s Lichfield 10K road race and fun run. It will be the second year in succession that the company have backed the event, which take place on September 6.  The race, which is organised by Lichfield Running Club, raises money for a number of good causes in and around the city including Queens Croft School, Lichfield & Hatherton Canal Restoration Trust, Lichfield Running Club, King Edward VI School, St John Ambulance, ATC, Staffordshire Police Benevolent Fund, Lichfield Lions and St Giles Hospice. Last year a team of legal eagles took part and helped to rasie more than £1,000 for St Giles Hospice. Simon James, senior partner at Ansons LLP commented:
“Ansons has always been keen to support local events and charities.  The Lichfield 10k run and fun run are great events for the running community and for families and friends who can come along and run or support.”
This will be the 14th running of this popular event which attracts around 1,000 entrants.  The 10K race and fun run both start at 10.30am September 6 at King Edward VI Leisure Centre in Lichfield. Ansons LLP will again be entering a team of runners all aiming to raise as much sponsorship as possible for St Giles Hospice.
