The search is on to find a new director for the Lichfield Festival. A job advert has been published urging potential candidates to throw their hat into the ring for the job vacated by Richard Hawley. He announced he was leaving the post after being awarded a fellowship as part of the Clore Leadership Programme. The part-time position has been advertised with a £32,500 pro rata salary. The advert reads:
“In the broadest terms the Festival Director is both the Artistic Director and the General Manager of the Festival. We are seeking an individual with a proven track record in programming, music and arts management, the vision to guide and develop the Festival’s future direction in challenging times and the ability to lead and inspire a dedicated administrative team and many volunteers.”
The closing date for applications is August 24.
