The main £1,000 jackpot is still to be won in the St Giles Hospice Rainbow Scratchcards game – with less than seven weeks to go before the promotion ends.

Hundreds of smaller prizes have already been awarded and with the Rainbow Scratchcards fundraising game stopping at the end of September, the chances of scooping the ‘pot of gold’ get better every week.

The scratchcards cost just £1 and are available to anyone over 16 years of age at St Giles Hospice Shops, or by calling 0845 370 6580.

Players have four different games, each giving the chance to win a cash prize ranging from £1 to the £1,000 jackpot simply by rubbing away selected panels on the card.

Richard Simmonite, St Giles Hospice Promotions’ Commercial Manager, said:

“Every day the clock ticks down, someone has a greater chance of scooping ‘the big one’. But it can’t stay out there forever. Cards cost £1 and are a fantastic way to support St Giles Hospice and with a 1 in 5 chance of picking up a prize, there have already been many happy winners.”

As well as the Rainbow Scratchcards St Giles Hospice operates a successful lottery offering people the chance to win up to £2,000 each week while raising £1m each year for the charity.

St Giles Hospice is a registered charity offering high-quality medical and nursing care for people with cancer and other serious illnesses, as well as providing support for their families and carers.

Care is offered at the hospice’s facilities in Sutton Coldfield and Whittington near Lichfield or in patients’ own homes across the region.

St Giles spends £6 million every year providing its specialist services and with less than a third of this funded by the Government, relies heavily on donations and fundraising.
