Police are appealing for help to trace two snakes stolen from a Lichfield pet shop.

The female corn snakes, worth around £100 each, were removed from glass cages at Bettapets in Lombard Street, Lichfield, between 3pm yesterday (Thurs) and 9am today (Friday).

The two-year-old snakes, which aren’t venomous, are around four feet long and are distinctively patterned. One is red and the other pink.

Anyone with information is asked to ring Lichfield police on 0300 123 4455 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111. The incident number is 287 of 14 August.
