The Lichfield District Older People’s Forum has announced plans for the next meeting.

The event is an opportunity for older people to raise local issues and concerns about anything which might affect local people aged over 50.

The group will meet at St Joseph’s Hall in Burntwood on September 10 from 10am to 12noon.

Among the items already on the agenda are:

  • Vanessa Day from South Staffordshire PCT will be discussing the services available at Burntwood Health and Wellbeing Centre and the plans for a future health centre in the Burntwood area.
  • Neil Cox from Lichfield District Council will be talking about the Local Development Framework Infrastructure Delivery Plan.  This is a plan which identifies the services and facilities needed in the District by 2020.
  • Cheryl Rice from Lichfield District Council and Michael Pritchard from Homezone will discuss Forward Action Burntwood.  This is a project which aims to work with the local community to improve the quality of life for people living in Burntwood.
