Dirk and Donny Tourette have signed up to play an acoustic set at the George IV on October 3 in a gig which will be seen as a real coup for the venue.

The band – who have supported the likes of Guns N Roses and the New York Dolls – shot to national prominence when frontman Donny appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2007. However, he only lasted for a short period on the show after walking out following a row over having to serve Jade Goody and her family.

Entry to the October 3 gig, which starts at 8.30pm, is free and support acts will be confirmed nearer the date.
