Chasetown FC goalkeeper backs understudy to do well

Injured Chasetown FC goalkeeper Ryan Price has backed his understudy to flourish in his absence.

Price is still waiting to discover how long he faces on the sidelines, but Martin Taylor will continue to deputise as he did in the FA Cup Preliminary Round replay defeat against AFC Wulfrunians.

And despite being able to prevent the Scholars crashing out of the FA Cup  on penalties, Taylor has been backed to provide a safe pair of hands in the Chasetown goal.

Price added:

“I really rate Martin – he’s got good experience and is always willing to give me advice on this new league as he’s played in it before.

“But I am hoping I don’t see too much of him in action as I hate missing games and want to help the lads bounce back from the FA Cup defeat as soon as possible.”

Chasetown visit Spalding United for a 3pm kick-off today. You can keep up to date with the game as it happens through the club’s Twitter updates.
