Burntwood Leisure Leagues football round-up

The Trotters Return proved they are no fools as they sneaked past relegation threatened Fortress 2-1 to stay top of the Burntwood Sunday six-a-side league.

Second placed Attack of the Clowns are just two points back after winning 1-0 against FC Laser, while Young Guns managed the same score against Heavyweights.

At the other end of the table PSV Hangover eased their relegation worries with a 2-0 cruise over rock bottom The Untouchables.

In division one Average Joes lost ground with a 2-0 defeat to Not So Pro, with bottom of the table Pelsall Predators also securing a victory and easing out Panthers Old & Passed It 4-2.

The pick of the other games saw The Kings of Zimbabwe and Jubentass both win by the games only goal, against LGCC and Burntwood 6 respectively.

Burntwood AFC’s 2-0 victory over Euro FC in the Monday Premier Division keeps them in the shake-up as they lie three points clear at the summit.

Los Galacticos saw off Fibratrim via the same scoreline in Division One but they continue to trail in the wake of Athletico Chasetown, who eased through 4-0 against AFC Clayhanger.

Braziliant remain a point clear at the top of the Second Division after a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Deportivo La Catalent, whilst Jerome FC also won through 3-2 against Team Tek in a relegation battle.

Team Salad’s 6-1 drubbing of Kay FC was the biggest score of the day in the Third Division but they still need to work hard to climb the table.
