Lichfield City FC showed just how far they’ve progressed over the summer  as they secured a 4-0 win against Racing Club Warwick Reserves.

Manager Dean Gilbert rang the changes as he went in search of a fresh impetus from his players ahead of the game.

And his gamble paid off as they reversed the 4-0 defeat in the corresponding fixture in last season’s Jack Mould Trophy tie.

Rob Burnside bagged a brace while Scott Warner was also on target as well as missing a penalty.

The scoring was rounded off by last season’s top scorer John Rob Dutton.

Lichfield are at home again in their next game as they entertain Droitwich Spa on September 19.
