A new production at the Lichfield Garrick is set to stir emotions when it takes to the stage.
When the brilliant Jewish author, Irene Nemirovsky died in Auschwitz in 1942, she left behind an unfinished novel depicting the fall and occupation of France – Suite Francais.
Inspired by Nemirovsky’s haunting prose, The Frozen Heart tells the story of two women and two kinds of love.
Set in war-ravaged France, embittered cabaret singer Monique is entangled in a myriad of lies and consumed by an unconventional love.
This passionate production features songs of the period sung in both English and French.
Tickets for the performance of The Frozen Heart on September 30, are £12 (£10 students). To book, call the Garrick box office on 01543 412121 or visit www.lichfieldgarrick.com.
