Manager Dean Gilbert is likely to stand by his men as Lichfield City FC entertain Droitwich Spa.

Captain Sam Geffen will again begin the game on the bench as the City boss sticks with the players who trounced Racing Club Warwick Reserves 4-0 last weekend.

And with new signing Nick Colley unavailable, Gilbert is keen to keep the faith with the 11 again today (September 19). He said:

“We are going with an unchanged side for the game – last week the lads were superb and showed character in the excellent victory over Racing Club Warwick.

“Nick Colley is unavailable due to England futsal duties in Israel and is likely to be unavailable for the next four weeks.
But we have signed former Derby reserve team and Worksop player Matthew Collins.

“Matthew still lives in Derby and will commute to Lichfield for the games but continue to train with Worksop. Matthew is a quality player. He played in last weeks game and his quality shone from the start.”

The club’s strength in depth is beginning to show with Aaron Cleaver and Ben Stevens making their return to the club for the reserves during last weekend’s 3-2 away win at Seal United.
