Call for parents to join Fradley school’s fund-raising drive

St Stephen's School in Fradley

St Stephen's School in Fradley

The Friends of St Stephen’s are inviting parents, both new and old, to join them for a coffee in Fradley to highlight the start of the new fund-raising year.

The event takes place in the Breakfast Room at the Fradley Arms on Tuesday September 29 at 8pm.

The Friends are the parents’ association for St Stephen’s Primary School. They get together for a few hours each half term to raise money for all those extras their children need to enhance their school life and over the last couple of years they have worked extremely hard to improve the children’s external environment and have recently spent £3000 on new staging equipment.

Now the Friends are planning their fund raising for the new academic year and they would love to hear parents’ ideas for raising money for their children.

Those parents who are unable to commit to meetings can still help by being a Friends Event Helper. This is a register of names of people on whom the Friends can call to help them at an event, whether it is by blowing up balloons, baking a cake or helping on a stall at the summer fete.

If you would like to add your name to this list, please contact Sue Winebloom on 01283 791984.
