The popular City of Lichfield Concert Band will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a special performance in the city.
The event on October 17 at Lichfield Guildhall will feature cocktail of music to suit all tastes, from Star Wars to Holst, with a dash of jazz and a taste of classical, topped off with a trombone frolic.
The Lichfield band first made music for the city more than 100 years ago but had to close during the Second World War. This concert will celebrate the 25 years since it’s relaunch as The City of Lichfield Concert Band.
At this celebration concert, a number of former members and conductors will be taking part, recollecting some of the music and events which have contributed to the musical and cultural life of Lichfield.
Tickets, at £6.50 (£5.50 concessions), from Redshaws Bookshop or at the door, or reserve tickets by telephoning 07946 520489.
