UK soul diva Mica Paris will be performing in Lichfield as part of her nationwide tour.
The tour follows on from the release of her new album Born Again and will stop off at the Lichfield Garrick on October 21 at 7.30pm.
Mica started off singing in church before turning professional in her mid teens. In 1988 she launched her debut platinum selling album, So Good, from which she had her first top ten hit, You Are My One Temptation.
Further chart success came with her duet with Will Downing, Where is the Love, Breathe Life into Me, If I Love U 2 Nite and I Never Felt Like This Before.
Latterly, Mica’s career has taken her into radio, TV and acting. She has presented Radio 2’s Soul Sensations, Channel 4’s The Gospel of Gospels, co-hosted BBC TV’s What Not to Wear and been a judge on Channel 4’s Miss Naked Beauty. She even put her soul rhythm to good effect in BBC 1’s Strictly Come Dancing.
But she’ll be returning to her first passion when she takes to the stage with a band and three backing singers.
