A day of apple-themed fun will also be attracting people to the Staffordshire County Council-run venue on October 25. There will be apple tasting and apple flavour dishes will be on the menu in the café. Wood turning demonstrations and Punch and Judy shows will also take place from 11am to 3pm. Admission is free.

Youngsters aged six and over can try their hand at puppet making from 11am to 1pm on October 26. Places are limited so booking for this event – which costs £2 per child – is essential.

Tots aged two to five will be able to take part in Twiglets sessions on October 27 and Wednesday October 28 from 2pm to 3.30pm . The first art and craft event will have an autumn theme while the second will focus on Halloween. Each activity costs £2 per child.

Free Punch and Judy shows will draw in the crowds at 11am, 1.30pm and 3pm on October 29 and at 11am and 1.30pm on October 30.
