Shoppers in Burntwood and Lichfield are being given the chance to save money at their local stores – and support St Giles Hospice at the same time.
The St Giles Hospice Discount Card saves its lottery players 10 per cent on goods and services at more than 100 participating outlets, from gift shops, florists, jewellers and clothing stores through to health clubs, restaurants and driving schools.
St Giles Hospice Lottery’s Commercial Manager Richard Simmonite is encouraging shoppers to back local business and support local care by joining the hospice lottery. He added:
“Small businesses employing local people are facing a real challenge to endure these tough times and yet more than 100 local companies continue to show their generous support for St Giles at no cost whatsoever to the hospice.
“With our Discount Card, everyone’s a winner. Not only does it provide unmissable deals for customers but it also gives participating firms a much-needed boost as we head into the busiest time of year for shopping. So next time you’re at the shops, be sure to use your Discount Card with pride!”
A total of 104 companies have signed up to the incentive scheme from across the hospice’s extensive catchment area, with one partner offering discounts to cardholders up to 25 per cent.
The Discount Card is issued to all regular players of the hospice lottery and is just one of the lottery’s benefits. Every week there are over £3,000 in prizes – including a £2,000 jackpot for one lucky winner. Entry to the weekly draw costs £1 per week and players who sign up for a full year in advance also receive a limited edition St Giles Hospice Bear as a thank-you for their support.
