Emily Robinson with the Christmas what's on guide
A guide giving visitors a flavour of the what’s on programme in Lichfield has been launched. The free guide will showcase everything from carol concerts and late night shopping, through to pantomimes and Christmas fayres from mid-November through to the New Year. Councillor David Smith, Leader of Lichfield District Council, said:
“With so much going on across the district, you’ll be spoilt for choice this Christmas. From carol concerts and Christmas party nights, to Santa train rides and winter wonderlands, there is plenty to keep you busy in the run up to Christmas. And, with over 50 top name stores opening their doors for a series of late night Christmas shopping evenings, and free parking on these special nights, Lichfield is a great place to shop for all your presents. “The four late night shopping evenings will take place on Thursday evenings running up to Christmas, starting on 26 November from 4pm. This is also the date of Lichfield’s Christmas lights switch on, starring Shaun Smith from Britain’s Got Talent, so make sure you don’t miss it. With heaps to see and do, I am sure everyone will have a very busy and very merry Christmas.”
What’s On at Christmas is available for free from Lichfield’s Tourist Information Centre in the Lichfield Garrick.
