Lichfield plays host to hospice’s festive fundraiser

dinner-tableA feast of festive treats will be on offer at the St Giles Hospice Ladies’ Lunch Club’s Christmas get-together, which takes place at The Old School House restaurant in Weeford, near Lichfield .

The event takes place on November 25 and includes a delicious three-course meal, seasonal craft and gift stalls and entertainment – as well as useful tips on how to prepare the perfect Christmas dinner for the family.

Helen Relihan, Head of Fundraising for St Giles, said:

“Our Christmas lunch promises to be a wonderful occasion with fantastic food, great company and top-quality entertainment. Our Ladies’ Lunch Club is perfect for socialising and meeting new people and, with Christmas just around the corner, an excellent way to usher in the festive season in style.”

The event gets under way at 11am, when guests will have the chance to mingle and browse the selection of craft and gift stalls for stocking fillers.

Nigel Dobson, experienced head chef and managing director of The Old School House, will then share some essential cookery tips and ideas to wow the family on Christmas Day.

Once appetites are whetted, a festive three-course lunch will be served at 12.30pm, followed by a performance from St Giles’ very own Pantomime Dame!

Tickets cost £25 per person, with all profits funding the hospice’s caring services for local people with cancer and other serious illnesses.
