New website for young people in Lichfield and Burntwood

The website

Young people in Lichfield and Burntwood will have a variety of activities at their fingertips thanks to the launch of a new website.

The site – – is a web-based database of activities for young people aged 11 to 19, and is the first in the county to bring together activities from across Staffordshire, from many different organisations.

It has been designed in consultation with young people and features a whole host of activities ranging from drama, dance and sports to youth clubs, Scout and Guide groups, workshops and forums. The site has been funded by the government, and developed by Staffordshire Youth Service in partnership with a wide range of organisations across the county.

Young people can access the site and search over 23,000 activities. The activities are continually updated, with more being added every week to give young people the widest possible choice, and encourage them to engage in positive activities.

County Councillor Ben Adams, Cabinet Member for Communities and Culture, said:

“The website brings together a diverse range of activities. Having them all in one place shows just how many opportunities there are for young people to get involved with clubs, sporting activities, forums and much more.”

Anyone who runs activities for young people in Staffordshire and would like to be included can register their details for free on the site and start inputting their activities.
